(Croton Falls, NY): The Campaign To Keep Guns Off Campus is horrified that yet another weapon of war made it too easily into the hands of an 18 year old who used it with racist, premeditated, murderous intent – driving 4 hours from his home in Conklin to the heart of Buffalo’s historically black Masten District to shoot up a local grocery store. Wearing body armor and live streaming, this person ended the lives of 10 people and injured 3 – 11 of whom were African American according to local sources and the New York Times.
We are disgusted by the killer’s actions, we condemn this racist terroristic act, and we hold the gun lobby complicit in their continued push to deregulate military-style assault rifle ownership.
The Campaign stands with our coalition of gun violence prevention organizations in condemning this heinous act. We call for a full investigation of the killer and the arrest of any possible accomplices who may have encouraged and enabled this young person to end so many lives.
We further stand with Buffalo, The City of Good Neighbors, in crying out for real justice in the face of this violence. We cry with you and we reach out our hands to you to help in any way we can.
