UPDATE: MARCH 7, 2016
HB 859 (guns on campus) passed the Senate Judiciary Committee and is now on the Senate floor where a vote could happen at any time.
We know that Governor Deal has publicly stated that he supports allowing guns on campus, which means our only hope is to stop this bill on the Senate floor.

Although there is overwhelming opposition by students, campus administrators, faculty and campus law enforcement, gun lobby-backed legislators are determined to push HB 859 without considering the variety of unintended consequences, risk to public safety and increased costs that will be passed on in the form of tuition hikes.
