We did it!
Guns on campus legislation failed to come up during the 3rd special session of the Texas legislature, which ended late last night. Your advocacy efforts, coupled with those from our partners across Texas made the difference.
Let’s savor this important victory, but know that there are many officials waiting to re-introduce guns on campus bills when the Texas Legislature re-convenes in 2015.
The gun lobby will continue its efforts across the country to force concealed firearms on campus and we will remain vigilant in opposing these dangerous policies state by state.
